Ford Everest Wheel Decal Installation

Installation Instructions

It is highly recommended that you watch the Installation Video prior to installation of the sticker!

Preparation

It is very important to ensure the surface is clean prior to installation. Use a microfibre cloth and surface cleaner such as Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol. Wash your hands before installation to limit oily residue on the sticking surface of the vinyl. It is important to remove all dust particles as they may cause air pockets that will prevent the vinyl from sticking.

Remove from Packaging

The decal should arrive in a tube, remove and leave it on a flat surface at room temperature until it flattens.

Steps

  1. Start by lifting the entire sticker from the backing paper. Try to place it on your fingertips to move it roughly in place, allowing space to manoeuvre.
  2. Be careful while lifting, especially the thin pieces, not to stretch the vinyl as this will permanently deform the piece.
  3. Start by aligning the outer side closest to the tyre. Place the sticker as close to the edge as possible, just over the grey (non-machined) surface.
  4. Moving towards the center of the wheel, place the vinyl into position slowly without pressing on it as you might need to move it multiple times. Try not to create air bubbles. Check that no machined part is visible. If machined part is visible, lift the vinyl gently and place it again into position. This might be required multiple times.
  5. Continue with the centre of the wheel. Constantly check that the top part remains constant distance from the black edge of the rim.
  6. Slowly work your way down the spoke making sure to cover all the silver.

Tips

  1. If tiny bubbles are present, the air release technology should allow them to disappear within 24 hours. For larger bubbles, you can lift the vinyl again to try and make them smaller or you can use a hairdryer that should remove almost any bubble, just be careful not to damage the vinyl with the heat.
  2. It might be necessary to move the vinyl multiple times before it is in the correct position. The first time you attempt this it is unlikely to get it perfect. The set contains 1 additional ssticker in case required.
  3. It is recommended that you move on to the next spokes before removing/replacing the first spoke completed. You learn by doing.
  4. Start with the topmost spoke on the wheel. You can attempt the spokes on either side, but it is recommended to rotate the wheel so you always work on the topmost spoke. Working upside down makes it more difficult.
